Amazon vs a PandaBuy haul

Amazon Spreadsheet: When the Same Item Is on Amazon, and What You Pay Extra Since PandaBuy

Checked · the PandaBuy Alternatives desk

Short answer

Plenty of generic products on Amazon (organisers, phone accessories, kitchen tools, plain clothing) come from the same Chinese factories that sell on 1688 and Taobao, the platforms PandaBuy bought from. The Amazon version usually costs more. What the extra buys is speed and easy returns: fast domestic delivery and, for most items, a 30-day return window. Amazon also runs Amazon Haul, a low-price store for items $20 and under with one-to-two-week delivery. People searching 'Amazon spreadsheet' are often sellers after templates; this page is for shoppers comparing routes.

Independent Weidian listings for an agent haul. Each tile opens repbuysheet.com. This grid is a taster: the catalog it links into lists 10,000+ products, each with its seller's photo set.

Sponsored links. Photo, name and button all open one listing on repbuysheet.com, where the seller's full photo set, the size options and the source shop link live. Dollar and yuan prices are copied from that catalog on the check date and move with the exchange rate.

Amazon vs an agent haul for the same item

Verdict: For one generic item you need soon, Amazon. For a haul of finds, an agent.

Amazon Haul, and why it exists

Amazon launched Haul as its answer to Temu and SHEIN, and GeekWire reported in November 2025 that it was expanding as US tariffs squeezed Chinese rivals. Everything is $20 or less, delivery takes one to two weeks, and returns follow Amazon's rules. For former PandaBuy users it's a way to buy cheap basics with Amazon's protection, but its range is Amazon's own selection, not the shop finds a sheet points to.

US buyers in particular should note why Haul exists: since the $800 duty-free allowance ended in 2025, every agent parcel can attract import charges, and Amazon absorbs that complexity. The US guide and duty calculator cover the agent side.

Verdict: Amazon Haul is a fair choice for cheap basics in the US; it isn't a source of sheet finds.

Amazon finds lists and agent hauls

'Amazon finds' videos and sheets are mostly affiliate lists of products sold on Amazon. They're useful for discovery; if you find a generic item you like, it's worth checking whether a similar listing exists on 1688 or Taobao and whether an agent route would be cheaper for several units (the 1688 page works through an example).

If you sell rather than buy, the eBay page covers resale fees, and our homepage describes the dropshipping help we offer creators and shop owners.

Verdict: Use Amazon finds for ideas; compare the agent route when you want several.

How many do you need? The quantity test

A useful test for any 'Amazon find' is whether the same product exists on 1688 or Taobao, and at what price. Search the main photo with an agent's image search. If the item turns up at a fraction of the Amazon price, the question becomes how many you need:

When the agent route beats Amazon for a generic item
QuantityUsually cheaperWhy
1AmazonNo international freight or duty to share
2–4Close; compareFreight shared, duty may apply
5+AgentDomestic Chinese price, one box

A rule of thumb, not a quote: run your own numbers with the shipping and duty calculators.

Speed is Amazon's real advantage. An agent haul takes weeks door to door; Prime takes days. If you need something this week, the comparison is over. If you're stocking up, or building a box with other finds, the agent route usually wins on price, and our budget sheet lists light items that ride along cheaply.

Verdict: Buy single, urgent items on Amazon; batch the rest through an agent.

Amazon questions

Is there an Amazon spreadsheet like a PandaBuy spreadsheet?

Not really. PandaBuy sheets listed Weidian and Taobao links for an agent to buy, while 'Amazon finds' lists are mostly affiliate links to products already sold on Amazon, and many 'Amazon spreadsheet' searches come from sellers wanting templates. Those lists are fine for ideas. For a generic item you like, check whether 1688 or Taobao has it, because five or more units through an agent usually cost less.

Are Amazon products the same as agent finds?

Some are. Plenty of generic Amazon products, such as organisers, kitchen tools, phone accessories and plain clothing, come from the same Chinese factories that list on 1688 and Taobao, and the Amazon version usually costs more. Shop-specific Weidian finds generally aren't on Amazon at all. Search a sheet row's photo with Amazon Lens: lookalikes suggest a generic item, while no match means it's an agent-only find.

What is Amazon Haul?

It's Amazon's low-price store where everything costs $20 or less and delivery takes one to two weeks. Amazon positioned it against Temu and SHEIN, and GeekWire reported in November 2025 that it was expanding as US tariffs squeezed Chinese rivals. Returns follow Amazon's usual rules. Haul is a sensible pick for cheap basics in the US, but its range is Amazon's own selection rather than the shop finds a sheet points to.

Is Amazon cheaper than an agent?

It depends on quantity. For a single item Amazon often wins, since there's no international freight or duty to cover. Between two and four units it's close enough to compare. At five or more, an agent paying the Chinese domestic price and sending one box is usually cheaper. US buyers should also count import charges now that the $800 duty-free allowance ended in 2025. Run the duty calculator before choosing.

What's Amazon's return window?

For most items it's 30 days, according to Amazon's help pages, and Amazon Haul orders follow the same rules. That's the sharpest contrast with PandaBuy, where you checked 4 QC photos per item and could only reject problems at the warehouse; once the parcel left China, returns were off the table. When easy returns matter for a particular purchase, Amazon is the safer route.

Can I use PandaBuy links on Amazon?

No. A PandaBuy link points to a Weidian or Taobao listing, and Amazon can't open it. Use the link converter to recover the original listing, then place it with an open agent. For generic items, try the camera search in the Amazon app with a screenshot of the sheet row; it returns similar listings that come with Amazon's 30-day returns. Convert shop finds, and look up the generic ones on Amazon.

Can I search Amazon with a photo from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Amazon Lens, the camera search in the Amazon app, takes a screenshot of a sheet row and shows visually similar listings. Treat the results as lookalikes rather than the original seller's item. Describing material, weight and cut, such as 'heavyweight hoodie, boxy fit', often finds closer matches than a brand name. Before buying, compare fabric weight, composition and measured size on the listing, since those tell you more than the photo.

Is Amazon faster than an agent?

Almost always. An agent order waits for the seller's domestic shipment, then warehouse checks, then an international line, which adds up to roughly two to four weeks door to door. Prime items can turn up in a day or two, and Amazon Haul takes one to two weeks. If you need something this week, buy it on Amazon. If you're stocking up or bundling finds, the agent's lower price is worth the wait.

The PandaBuy history leans on court records, police-side reporting and Wikipedia; agent fees, storage and review counts come from each agent's own pages or the named trackers.
